Form on479 doesn't accept the hst number for the ontario staycation tax credit. when will tis be fixed?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Just for clarity, the worksheet did not have any data entered on either my return or my spouse's and when I tried to enter it on my return I continued to get the override warning.  I proceeded to enter the data and then when I tried to Net File the system would not accept it.

Finally, when I switched to the worksheet on my spouse's return (where there was no data shown) it permitted data entry and carried the information through to the summary page, allowing the tax credit.

Turbo Tax should have a simple warning that would indicate this.  And they should have. aheads up for their support staff since the lady that was trying to help me yesterday clearly didn't understand the problem.

As of March 28, the problem is not fixed. I've updated my software and the glitch is still there. Additionally I am unable to add more than 7 receipts.

@MrA5 Just don't enter the RT in the GST/HST number.

You can try grouping items together. Ex: if you rented the same cottage 3 times, add the expense amounts, and enter it once with the same date. Keep all receipts just in case the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has questions.

Also please note that there is a maximum expense limit of $1,000 as an individual or $2,000 as a family. Once you reach that limit, you will get no additional benefit from adding more expenses.

I'm having the same issue imputing the date... it will not allow me to put the complete year but only 3 digits. Is there a solution?

@ATinTo Are you using TurboTax CD/Download or TurboTax Online?

I used the download version. Filed my return without using the RT of GST number.  Hope that helps.
