Had no income last year but lots of prescriptions to claim - why am I getting nothing back for them?

I had no income last year but a lot of prescriptions & dental receipts to claim because I have no coverage.  I put each prescription & dental receipt into the system - why am I getting nothing back for them?  Is it because I made no income?

The amount you can claim is actually based on your income. Since the medical expenses, credit is designed to assist Canadians who have significant expenses over the course of a year, only a portion of your medical expenses translates to a deduction. From your total medical expenses, the eligible amount is 3% of your income.
