So basically if this is the case, I am going to have to pay another $130 for Windows pro. That is horrible I do not want to do that.

During tax season (from CRA NETFILE opening to the regular filing deadline (April 31st), we're available 7 days a week during these hours:
During the rest of the year (May 1 to mid-February), we're available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM ET for English and French support.
I have spent my entire morning and part of my afternoon following all of the instructions that were on Intuit. Including checking for updates, making sure my laptop met the requirements, turned off Norton, restarted my laptop, installed and uninstalled TurboTax too many times to count. I finally went to the www for help and found real people having the same problem as I was having, low and behold I found solutions from real people not from Intuit. Thank you all for sharing your experience with a semi fluent techie.
It was the Visual C++ Redistributable download that fixed it

i Have this issue with the 2024 Turbotax program
I have this issue with the 2024 program loaded the 2023 works file but issues with the 2024
Interesting. How many TurboTax years do you have on your computer?
I was not able to use 2023. I have not yet tried 2024.
I have 2021 and 2022 loaded which worked fine.
I did update the Virtual C++ distributable, though that didn't work.
I also called the support desk, walked through a number of file checks (i.e. was Turbotax installed correctly) and various other items before they through their hands up.
I am a bit hesitant to uninstall TT2021 or TT2022 in case I need it in the future. (I seriously doubt an audit will occur, but just in case)

@RobTTaxUser What issue are you having with the 2024 Desktop Installation?
Refer to What are the Windows requirements for TurboTax Desktop?
For installation issues, make sure you are following these points:
You have the administrator rights on the profile you are installing TurboTax on
You are not trying to install on a cloud
Turn off your antivirus software and Windows Defender, before installation
If the error persist, we suggest you to contact our product support by phone.

I think TurboTax should instruct their tech support to suggest this procedure
