Good morning,
I'm not self-employed. I'm retired. Your system thinks I am and wants me to purchase the highest level package.
I can't move forward without purchasing the package that includes self-employed income, and that would obviously create other issues.
What can I do ... is this a technical bug that needs fixing?
Please HELP!
Thank you.
H
If you've entered an amount from any of the boxes on the slips listed here, you have what the CRA considers to be self-employment or business income:
If you have an amount in any of these boxes, TurboTax will ask additional questions to report the income as self-employment/business income. You only need to answer basic information, such as business name and address (can be your own), industry code, and fiscal period (Jan 01 to December 31).
None of those conditions apply to me.
So what else is there?

I am NOT self employed (retired) yet I have an "Error" for fix saying that I have indicated that I was self employed and have not indicated the province where my business was located. How do I fix this so I can file my return? I don't have any T4 slips. My T4A slips have no values in boxes 20 and 48. There is no box 28 on my T4A slips nor is there a box 24 on my T3. I called the phone number listed and received only a recorded message with no information that could help me with this situation.
