TurboTax generates incomplete/incorrect Releve-1 -- workaround

@TurboTaxVeronique  You'll note that I reported this problem last year while doing 2023 income taxes, so no, I can't provide screenshots.  Speaking as a programmer, I can assure you that the description I originally posted is enough to debug the program.  For what it's worth, I was using EasySteps in TurboTax Standard on desktop.  In my case, there were no T4As involved:  Just a T4 ON, a T4 QC, and an RL-1 (QC).

When I entered the T4s (manually), TT generated an RL-1 for each of them. It should not have generated one for Ontario).   And, some of the amounts for the Quebec one were missing.

@MD111  Give up:  the chances of their producing a change to the code within a week are less than zero.  But the workaround is easy enough:

"The resolution was to delete the RL-1s that TT had generated and enter the real RL-1 manually.  Except that TT wouldn't allow the RL-1s to be deleted, so I just zeroed out all the entries.  And, the RL-1 I entered generated a T4 (fortunately empty)."

To do that, use the Forms method, select T-slips at the bottom, then choose the appropriate T-slip and manually enter the zeros and the correct amounts.

TurboTax generates incomplete/incorrect Releve-1 -- workaround

Thanks for your help,

Actually, I tried this before using both the easy step, and the form (T-slips).

The bug again generates new releve1 under the T4 section, whenever there is a new releve1 under the T4A section, no matter you add the info manually or auto.

For example:

1- I deleted all the T4s T4As and the Releve1s

2- I added all of them manually. The software asks to press F2 to enforce adding the info in the Releve1 cause it supposes to be auto.

All attempts results in generating same new releve1, and zeroing it = deleting it will delete the releve1 again and again.

By the way, are you using Windows version, or Mac one!

For who ever follow this thread from TurboTax team,  what's the solution, should I buy another copy (Mac for example) !

@MD111 Are you forced to hit F2?  Last year, I wasn't, so I was able to zero all the fields in the Ontario RL-1 and correct the Quebec one.

I use the Windows version.

@Paddle2C1 Yes, only when I use the form entery method (Quebec ones)

So far, there is no solution, and I wonder if those who r using the Mac version are facing same issue!!
