residency

we left canada on May 2018 for work purpose. Are we considered as a resident or no putting on mind that we are not renting any house in canada now, but we still have some of our clothes and some of the furnitures. We still have the driver licenses and we have a valid Canadian passport.
Our job contract will end on June 2020 BUT we are not sure if the company will extend the contract or no.

Are we still eligible for the CCTB while we are abroad or no?
Are we considered a resident or no?

If you are unsure of your residency status, you will need to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and confirm with them. This page has ways of contacting them: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/community/federal-taxes/help/how-do-i-contact-the-canada-revenue-agency-cra/00/873448

This CRA page shows who is eligible for the CCTB: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/child-family-benefits/canada-child-benefit-overview/canada-child-benefit-before-you-apply.html#who
