Schedule 5

Dependent information is not transferring to Schedule 5 I have checked all the boxes she has no income.

When I go into schedule 5 and try to add information it brings up my dependent and the info is there but not transferring to Schedule 5.

What credit are you looking at on the Schedule 5? Are you using TurboTax CD/Download or TurboTax Online?

Let's review the steps to check if you entered all the required information:

 

  1. In the upper-right corner of your screen, select  Find
  2. In the Find window, type Claims for dependants.
  3. Select Claims for dependants from the list, and select Go.
  4. Click Enter Credit Info and answer Which credits do you want to claim or edit? Click Continue
  5. Answer the questions in the following pages ( The questions will appear in function what have you answered in the Step 4):
    • Amount for an Eligible Dependant. Click Continue

    • Tuition Transfer Amount. Click Continue

    • Disability Transfer. Click Continue

    • Canada Caregiver Amount. Click Continue

    • Adoption Expenses. Click Continue

  6. Click Done entering Credits

  7. On the Menu Go to Deductions➡️ 

     Claims for Dependants ➡️ Dependant Credit Summary 

  8. Check if the information is correct

You can also check the information for lines 30300, 30400, 30425 05 3450

  1. On the Menu click on the 2022 Tax Refund to open the options 

     
  2. Click on view detailed tax summary

  3. Scroll down the page to find Federal non-refundable tax credits. You can check these lines and the amount.
