Self employed and started collecting HST from customers mid year. Do I enter the same income earned on both the T2125 and the GST34?

Is the income on the T2125 the income for the whole year including after I started collecting HST and the GST34 is where I report the income earned after I started collecting HST? Or do put the same total income on both forms and subtract the GST that was collected?

If you are registered to collect GST/HST, then you would not include any GST/HST that you collected in your income, or any GST/HST that you paid on your expenses.

For assistance with the GST34 return, please contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency
