T4 line 16a - Entering any number results in a warning that the CPP/QPP has been entered incorrectly.

The amounts for both field 16 and 16A seem appropriate, but I get the following error message:

Because you entered an amount for Additional CPP/QPP contributions on the T4 in boxes 16A or 17A, you also need to enter an amount for CPP/QPP contributions on the T4 in corresponding boxes 16 or 17.

I have an amount in both field 16 and 16A .... so am at a loss.

Anyone had a similar issue?

Box 16/17 on T4 is Employee's CPP/QPP contributions.
Box 16A/17A is Employee's second CPP/QPP contribution.

Is it on 1 or 2 T4s? And Is it for the same employer?

If you have 2 T4s and it's for the same employer, verify on your CRA my account if this is the last version of your T4. If it is the last version and it is not showing box 16/17 and box 16A/17A on the same slip, we suggest you to contact CRA to see if you can combine both T4s together to have only 1 but with all the amount reflecting your 2024 year.

This is not a software issue, because if you have a 2nd contribution (box 16A/17A), you should logically have a 1st contribution (box 16/17). Technically, both amount should be on the same T4.

Here is the link to contact CRA

Did you receive a Relevé 1 for Private Insurance Plan, considered as Income, and on it a B-2 box for $188.  If so, the $188 in box B-2 may be a duplication of the $188 turbo Tax copied from the T4.  If that is the case, consider removing the $188 from box B-2, once I did, I was able to file.
