Why is there no question requesting GST/HST credit application on page 1 of the TD1 form. Is there another place where it needs to be completed?

I am attempting to apply for the GST/HST credit and cannot locate it on any of the forms.  You have to apply every year and it isn't showing on the TD1 form where your instructions say it should be.

There is no place on the tax return to actually apply for the GST credit anymore.  Just filing the return, you automatically apply for the credit.
