Turbo tax incorrectly opened forms not used Schedule 3, Farm summary caused error on netfile. Error states "CRA will accept your return by late March". Only had T4 & T4A

The complete error states " xxx is reporting a total taxable capital gain, net capital loss or principal residence designation on Schedule 3. Filing for returns with these items is temporarily delayed, as the CRA needs more time to certify the forms. We expect they'll be ready to accept your return by late March. When the filing date is announced, we can notify you by email so you can sign in and file." Schedule 3 wasn't needed and not used.

Please try clearing the unneeded forms and then closing unused forms. You can find those options under Edit>Forms in the top menu.

Thanks for the response but my issue is I have submitted to CRA (I have a confirmation number) but the error is  saying "We'll be ready to accept your return by late March"... has my return been submitted or not?

You should contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and confirm it with them whether it's been received or not.

I have same problem , did you find pot if they still received and processed your return , I just got same issue today.

amd so worried about it

If you have Schedule 3 opened and you haven't used it, please be sure to close it, and if there is anything on it that isn't of value for your 2024 tax filing, you will need to click on edit-clear form, then close the unused form.

What if didn’t realized the those forms are opened , and after I summit the file and got a confirmation number from netfile and after I get the message that one of the forms are are lock and it may delay my taxes. How does CRA goes about will they process it or the will wait until the forms are unlocked?

@Azul1 If the CRA accepted you return, and those forms are blank or unneeded, then they will just ignore them.

Thanks so much to everyone who bring up this question as I got the same problem for Schedule 3.....and I just have so much concern.

 

My Status is as follows

 

I got the confirmation# from CRA for my return was accepted and also received the Turbotax's congratulations email who said my return has been accepted by CRA.

 

But I still have the screen popping up and saying "....Schedule 3 Filing for returns with these items is temporarily delayed......." and asked for my email address to receive a reminder notice later.  (The Schedule 3 is actually a blank form, unfortunately I found out that after I net-filed it ) .

 

My question is

1) The system already said my returned have been accepted with the confirmation#, why did they say the form is not certified and not ready to be filed. That made me very confusing.  

2) Can you please advise if I have to wait for the reminder notice at the end of March and Netfile my tax return again.  I am doubtful if the CRA will accept my return 2024 again as my first net-filed return has been accepted with the confirmation#.

I have deleted unused forms, saved the file, closed the return, closed the program and it keeps recreating the schedule 3 form. I think this is a bug. Please fix or advise how to get around it.

It worked partially, but now the message is that one or more forms required to complete your return are not ready yet… this is a bug… please fix because I can’t send my return

@Bellepistache If you are not using Schedule 3. uncheck any box related to Schedule 3.Please try to close any open and unused forms. Select Edit>Forms>Clear Current Form, and then Edit>Forms>Close Unused Forms.

I have attempted your workaround (to clear/close unused forms, i.e. Schedule 3, which was empty to begin with), but it makes no difference.

 

Will this bug be corrected? If so, is there a target date to have it fixed?
