I live in Ontario, worked part of the year in each of Ontario and Quebec, so two T4s and one RL-1. Using TurboTax Standard on desktop. When I entered the T4s (manually), TT generated an RL-1 for each of them -- why for Ontario? And, some of the amounts for the Quebec one were missing.
Called TT Support. The resolution was to delete the RL-1s that TT had generated and enter the real RL-1 manually. Except that TT wouldn't allow the RL-1s to be deleted, so just zeroed out all the entries. And, the RL-1 I entered generated a T4 (fortunately empty).
Instead of creating all these problems, would be better if TT didn't try to generate the RL-1.

This seems to still be an issue in 2025. Why hasn't it been fixed??
This is preventing me from filing.

HI,
Have you found a solution, if yes, I appreciate if you could share!
Cheers,
MD
Nope. Just enter it manually.
@MD111 Do you receive an error message? If yes, can you please share with us the exact message or a screenshot?
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
In my case, there was no error message: it simply generated a Quebec income tax form RL-1 for Ontario income; it should check the Province code before generating one. And what it generated for Quebec income was incomplete.
