TurboTax is incorrectly claiming the "Canada Employment Amount". Please help !

I'm completing a return for my 93 yr old retired mother-in-law.   She only has CPP/OAS and some pension income - all from T-slips.   She has no employment income.    We used AutoFill to import all her T-slips.   One of her T4A slips reports "Premiums paid to a group term life insurance plan".    I wonder if this be why TurboTax is trying to claim the Canada Employment Amount ?     Regardless, how do stop TurboTax from claiming the Canada Employment Amount ?

Yes, it may be the T4A slip that is triggering it. But if you want to opt out of the credit, click on Find (magnifying glass) in the top right-hand corner. Type "Canada" in the box, then select "Canada Workers Benefit" from the list and click “Go”. Then you can select “No” to claiming the credit. Click “Continue” to save your changes.

I have chosen the option to not claim the Canada Employment amount as I have been on disability all of 2022.  However, the deduction is still showing up on my tax return.  TurboTax seems to override my decision not to claim the credit and automatically requires me to claim it.

I'm doing the tax return - refund 1700 - I did not say I wanted the CEA but it claimed it automatically and reduced the refund to $1000 - WHY

The magnifying glass does nothing - I clicked on the CEA and it took me back to the beginning of the form but doesn't say what I am supposed to change - this is ridiculous - I've been using turbo tax for years but now I think you are doing this so you can charge us $60 to fix your mistake - I will look for a different company or go back to doing it on the written form

@AJL4 If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can go into Forms mode and say no to the Canada Workers Benefit on line 38102 of the Schedule 6.

If you are using TurboTax Online, you'll be asked if you want to claim the Canada Workers Benefit during the review.

The Canada employment amount (Line 31260) - is automatically calculated if you have any employment income. You can't opt out, but the only eligibility criteria is that you have any employment income on line 10100 and/or line 10400.
