If you are seeing outdated values, please make sure your software is updated. If you used the CD, then please reinstall using the download from our website: https://turbotax.intuit.ca/product/download/index.jsp

You will need to uninstall before trying to install another time.

Enough conversation as I have indicated that I reloaded the software several times with you and the results are the same, I will purchase alternate software for the next tax year as clearly turbo tax and this moderator are not interested in resolving my concerns

Still waiting for the values in Planner Mode to be updated for 2024 planning. I reinstalled the software and did "Help -> Check for Updates" and it said the software was up to date. I'm running Version 00.01.81 Build 8002 068G26.

Example is that the tax brackets on form NB428 are the same when running in Planner Mode for 2024 as they are without Planner Mode turned on. They cannot be manually overridden since the values are in BLACK text. This is an important part of Turbo Tax that I use on a yearly basis. Please (1) verify that you understand that this is an issue. (2) Verify that you have reproduced the issue (3) Let me know when it will be fixed. Thanks.

I am also very interested in using 2024 tax planner mode in TurboTax 2023.  My spouse and I are now both being forced to do instalment payments, and the second set of instalment payments must be submitted by June 1.

Using overrides, I was able to accomplish part of what planner mode would do.  I modified the 'CLAW' form to change the "Less: Base amount ($86912)" to $90997.  I also modified the 'T1 Worksheet' form to change line 11 to $15705.

However, what I cannot do is change the 'T1 General' form line 70 values for the tax brackets.  If TurboTax would allow that, then I could get a more accurate result.  As well, if I were able to modify the line 70 values, it would be critically important for me that the 'Pension Income Splitting Optimizer' also use my modified values.  Right now the income splitting is placing one spouse at just under $106717 in taxable income, which is clearly not the optimal result.

Please consider allowing these additional overrides in a future version of TurboTax.
