@MacClure The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA-certified tax software across Canada.

TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

We are attempting to resolve this error in collaboration with CRA. We hope to have this resolved by the end of next week, and our development team is working on it. For our customers' awareness, we have placed a banner in the TurboTax filing section. Thank you for your patience.

What do I do about filing?  CRA won't accept NetFile if I use the F2 override to make the entry ... and TurboTax is unable to generate the entry on line 68140.

@MacClure If you see one of the following error codes, it's due to a CRA issue affecting all tax software in Canada. We're working with the CRA to get this resolved by the end of next week. Error codes: 2508, 2515, 45555, 90228, 90308, 95031, 95033, 95034, 95365 or 99915.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi. I tried the suggestion regarding the "resolved error code 95365" (copied below) but TurboTax/CRA gave the same message when I tried to Netfile: Box 68140 will not generate the amount from Box 21. It continues to contain $0.00

I had entered the sum of Box 52 + Box 53 in Box 53 in the T3 entry and ensured that the amount equaled the amount in Box 21. Your tax return has not been accepted.I returned to TurboTax and tried rounding to the nearest dollar in the boxes. Same result.

Your tax return has not been accepted.Any other suggestions?Shane-------------------------

Resolved error codes as of April 7, 2025

Error Code 95365

Error issue: There are entries for capital gains on T3 information slips and CRA has indicated that there may be a rounding issue.

Customer action: For all T3 slips in your return: - Remove the amount from Box 52, if applicable (leave it blank) - Enter the sum of Box 52 + Box 53 in Box 53 - Ensure Box 53 equals the amount in Box 21 If the error persists, try rounding the box amounts (21 and 53) to the nearest dollar and submit via NETFILE once more. Try filing after April 7, 2025.

Expected resolution date: Adjustments were made to the production system on April 7, 2025 to address erroneous instances of this error code due to rounding issues.

I had tried the same suggestions in the post, but I still got a decline. My return had no issues with rounding (the same amount for Box 21 and Box 52+Box 53), but I still got the code. I thought the reason was "no entry of lines 68140 and 68150. However, I couldn't override it to enter the right amount.  Is Turbotax going to look at this issue too?

I tried the entries with the correct numbers, with the amounts in Box 52 + Box 53, with the amounts rounded down, and with the amounts rounded up.  Boxes 68140 and 68150 did not have amounts generated by TurboTax, though, so Netfile just stated, "Your tax return has not been accepted" each time.  I could override the necessary boxes in TurboTax but CRA states that you can't Netfile when you have overridden boxes.

April 13th still not able to file due to error code #95365.  I've tried the work around and no luck.  Additionally not able to override the form to directly input required information.  When will this be resolved?

I have the came problem with error code 95365. Don't want to muck around with any of the work arounds that  have been suggested on the forums.  Want the official corrections in an update from Turbotax.  Expect it will be netfile cetified by CRA.

Haven't seen any official pronouncements from the Minister of Finance or any officials in CRA.  Perhaps it is due to the fact that we have federal elections coming so close in time.  Anyone speaking on behalf of CRA probably is keeping their head below horizon for fear of loosing it.  Hoping Turbotax will appropriate update tomorrow to resolve this mess.

That should've read, Minister of Revenue. Where is the accountability?

I have the same question. When I look at Forms and double-click to manually override, I see that the sum of CapGains on the T3s computed correctly. BUT the number is not transferred to line 68140 in chart A of Form T936. I am using the latest version (updated 2025-04-14 about 1100).

All T3s refer to line 53 not 52, so they are already consistent with some "fix" suggestions.

(Another annoyance - it seems the aborted Netfile used up one of my returns!)

This suggestion does not work on the latest update 2025-04-14 at 1110 EDT.

Was advised that an turbotax update to resolve 95365 netfile error would come on or after April 14. Checked April 14th after midnight local time and an update was available, it updated my software followed by a reset. Went to bed.  Around 9:00 AM April 14th local time, tried to netfile again and cra rejected it again.

THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED YET.  CONTINUING 95365 PROBLEM AFTER APRIL 14TH UPDATE.

I phoned Turbotax canada support and was told that there is still a problem, that I should wait a few more days.

Deadline for tax filing is fast approaching and I have to keep checking my computer. WTF.

Suggestion to Turbtax software developers, with each new update, give Turbax users/clients, some indication as to what errors the update is targetted to resolve.

We may be running out of netfile attempts and getting locked out.  Trying to get lockout removed and deal with CRA in timely fashion is impossible.

THIS IS ONE F'UP, causing taxpayers untold waste of time and axiety.

I tried again today but instead of the usual error code, an alert came back that my #account" was locked and provided a link to the CRA were they provide info on how to unlock my account.  In actual fact my CRA account not locked.  This gets weirder and weirder.  Time is running out!
