Where do I indicate what HST I collected as part of my self-employment income? How do I calculate and where do I enter HST I paid on my self-employment related expenses?

It was the first year I had to collect HST, so I have never done that before.

To do this, you will need to prepare a GST/HST return, where you report all the sales tax collected, and then recover the GST/HST you paid by claiming input tax credits (ITCs). This CRA website has more info on submitting a GST/HST return: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/businesses/topics/gst-hst-businesses/complete-file-when.html
