Why did I have to enter all my personal information again?

I had already created an account from previous years and las year I was able to call up the previous year and all the personal information was brought over but not this year.  I am using Turbotax Standard Online Edition, which I have used every other year.  I cannot see the General 1 to 4 pages or the summary page.  I have  difficulty entering my RRSP deductions. This year I am not very happy with this package.

If you didn't get the option to transfer your info, you could be logging in with the user id different from the account you created your previous year's return in.

It’s the combination of your user id and password that uniquely identify a TurboTax Online account, not your email address. So, it’s possible (and common) to have multiple user ids for a single email address.

To see all your user ids:

  1. Go to the TurboTax Online sign in page and select the I forgot my user ID or password link.
  2. Enter your email address and select  Continue
  3. A list appears with the user IDs associated with the email address you entered.

To see your actual T1 general form in TurboTax Online, you'll need to print/download the archive of your tax return.
