Why does line 457 not equal what was paid in hst of the tool? Line 457 gives me around $65 but close to $245 were paid on hst of the tool.
The maximum deduction for tradesperson's tools expenses is $500. If you are in a province with 15% HST, that would explain why you are seeing $65.22 on line 457.
