Why is my tax return significantly less than last year (despite earning more this year)? Is it because I am no longer a resident in Canada?

Despite earning x15 as much in 2024 as 2023, my tax return will be less than half my 2023 level - the only thing I can think of is that I no longer reside in Canada...

As a non-resident there are some credits & benefits that you you either no longer qualify for, or are reduced based on the amount of time your were in Canada. You also usually don't get any provincial credits, benefits or deductions.
