Can I claim as a Nunavut resident?
I have been working for a company in Nunavut for about 16 months now. I am generally there in Nunavut, living in a number of different places, provided for by my employer, for much more time during the year than I am at, what used to be my primary residence in BC. The job is supposed to be an 8 week in, 2 week out shift, but it generally varies, with both times often being a bit longer. I have a postal box in a community.
As I am spending more time in Nunavut than in BC, can I claim as a Nunavut resident and also claim the Northern Living Allowance? I have read the detailed line about claiming this, but am unsure if I qualify or not. I do not often feel like I have a primary residence any more as I move around so often, but am spending the majority of my time in Nunavut.
