Returned to work after maternity leave and repaid superannuation. The receipt says that it may be an allowable deduction from income, but where do I enter this?
My wife returned to work after being off on maternity leave. When she returned, she repaid her superannuation to Public Works and the Government of Canada in a lump sum of $5500. The receipt she received indicates that the amount she paid back may "be an allowable deduction from income for Income Tax purposes", but there is no line or form reference where I should include this deduction.
Can anyone tell me where to put this information?
