I bought a Turbotax standard and it dose not let me register it, what am I doing wrong?

Solution: Enable TLS encryption in Internet Explorer

  1. In some cases, a third party application on your computer might turn off TLS encryption. Complete the following steps to turn them back on:
  2. Open Internet Explorer.
  3. Open the Tools menu or, depending on your version of Internet Explorer, click the gear icon in the top, right-hand corner of the screen.
    The Internet Options window appears.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. If you're on Windows XP, select the Use TLS 1.0 checkbox. If you are using Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10, select TLS 1.2.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Restart TurboTax.
