I was not given a T4 for one of my jobs, only a pay stub. It does not tell me what my EI Premiums and EI Insurable Earnings are. It only says EI then the amount.

I was not given a T4 for one of my jobs, only a pay stub. It does not tell me what my EI Premiums and EI Insurable Earnings are. It only says EI then the amount.

You have a few options:

  1. Ask your employer for the T4. You have until May 5th which is the revised deadline.
  2. Another option is to log onto your cra my account (http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/myaccount/ if you've set this up) and collect the information from there. The Canada government requires all employers to submit slip information on their employees. Through this application you can see your slips that your employer should have submitted to the CRA.
  3. Your last option is to give CRA a call http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/cntct/phn-eng.html. You'll need to provide information to them so that they can identify you. Once they have identified you, I can't think of a reason why they couldn't provide you with your T4 information. If for some reason they can't do that over the phone they may be able to provide you with more solutions.

Hope that helps
