What slips and credits should I add to my tax return?

If you're not sure what T-slips, tax credits and deductions apply to you, the following suggestions might help get you started.

Start with the profile that best matches your tax situation, or refer to multiple profiles if no one profile fits perfectly.

In TurboTax use the Find feature to add these items to your return.

Students

  • T4 slips (employment income)
  • Tips and Other Employment Income (Other Income)
  • T2202 Slips (Tuition)
  • Students - Unused Tuition and Education Amounts from Prior
  • Students - Tuition Transfer
  • Students - Student Loan Interest
  • Scholarships (T4A Slips)
  • Donations and Gifts
  • Public Transit
  • RRSPs (contributions and deductions)
  • T4RSP slips (income from an RRSP)
  • T5 slips (investment income)
