My wife's employer allocates money as a taxable spending account. We use that money for childcare. Can we claim childcare expenses?

We are taxed on the amount allocated in the spending account through her benefits.

If the childcare expenses aren't directly reimbursed by your employer and you as the employee is taxed on the benefit, then you can claim the expenses.
