We are attempting to complete line 318 of the Disability Tax credit for our 10 yr old son who has autism and no income. What do we enter on 4 and 6 of the workbook?

We have received confirmation from the CRA that our 10 yr old qualifies for the disability tax credit going back to 2008. Given his age he has no income and does not file taxes. In the Federal Workbook we are completing line 318 but we are not clear on what to enter for part 4 and six. They specifically refer to the following:

4: Total of amounts your dependant can claim on lines 1 to 19 of his or her Schedule 1

6: Dependant's taxable income (line 260 of his or her return)

Given that he does not pay taxes, are we correct in assuming that we enter zero in these sections?

Yes you are correct.
Line 4 would be the basic personal amount for that year since he didn't have any income entering zero is fine.

 Line 6 would be zero

Doing adjustments to previous years (back to 2008) might not be necessary. If you have indicated on the DTC application that you wanted all the previous years included, CRA will process those adjustments for you.

It would be beneficial for you to also create if you haven't a CRA "MY Account". https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/e-services-individuals/account-individua...
