We originally purchased the Condo in 2017 for our son to go to school. that did not work out and he moved out of the unit. we have tried using a property manager to rent the unit. We were unable to get a renter into the condo and now have the unit for sale. I would like to know if we can deduct any of the expenses we have incurred on it
Yes, as long as you show proof of the attempt to rent the unit, you can claim these expenses.
