Schedule 3 section 3 is confusing after entering one mutual fund T5 it doubles the Proceeds of Disposition at bottom in Box 131 & does so also for box 132 Why?

bottom of Schedule 3 section 3 text says see form T1170* See Supp. Schedule

why does Box 131 double the proceeds of Disposition for 1 Mutual Fund figure?

and in the gain or loss column it does double it again - Why?  so the end figures submitted on Pg 3 of Schedule 3 are in effect all doubled the actual amount of Loss and the Proceeds of Disposition for 1 Mutual Fund are also doubled - Why?

Have you inputted a T5008 slip as well as capital gains information? You only need to complete one or the other, not both.  Please check your Schedule 3 section 3 to see if there are two amounts in the table, including the bottom line that says See Supp. Schedule, which could explain why the totals are double the amounts you are expecting.  You can then go back and remove either the T5008 or the amounts entered directly on Schedule 3.
