Can I claim medical expenses and long-term care payments for my dependent on top of the Disability Tax Credit transfer?
It depends on the amount of expenses. CRA's chart outlines which credits can be claimed for an individual who has both nursing home expenses and a disability tax certificate. These amounts would apply to a transfer of the disability amount as well.
