Are their any future implications of pension splitting?

I have a work pension. My spouse ie employed full time. Turbotax says we would receive a bigger refund if we do pension splitting. Are their any future implications if we choose to do this?

No, there are no future implications of pension splitting.  It only affects the current tax year return.
