Can you please provide me with an example of a completed Northern Living Allowance tax form?

I am having difficulty completing the T2222 - Northern Living Allowance form. Specifically, the section for travel expenses.  Can you please provide me with a completed example showing what to place in the boxes to claim a vacation expense.

Here is how to claim the deductions for northern residents:

Claim the Northern Residents Deductions in the Deductions > Other deductions step of TurboTax.

1. From the top-right of your screen, select Find* and type “northern residents” into the search field.

2. Select Northern Residents Deductions from the options that appear, and then select Go.

3. On the first Northern Residents Deduction step, select that you qualify for the deduction.

4. On the second Northern Residents Deduction step, enter information about where you lived, and then select Continue.

  • Note: Zone A refers to a prescribed northern zone; Zone B refers to a prescribed intermediate zone.

5. On the Northern Residents Deduction – Trip step, enter information about your medical and other travel, and then select Continue.

  • Note: You can make the travel claim only if your T4 includes an amount in box 32 (other travel) or box 33 (medical travel), or if your T4A includes an amount in box 28 (other travel) or box 116 (medical travel).

6. On the Additional Residency Amount step, if you qualify, enter your information to claim the additional amount. Then, select Continue.

*If you don’t see the Find button, you may not have completed the Setting Up/Introduction step of your return. Continue through the Setting Up/Introduction step until the Find button appears.

People come to TurboTax AnswerXchange for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:

  1. Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
  2. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
  3. Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
  4. Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
  5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
