Does the version year represent the year you are filing taxes for or the previous year?

I submit my 2018 income taxes in 2019, so do I use the 2019 version for my 2018 income tax return? 2018 version for my 2017 income tax.. etc. Or do you use the version that matches the year you are filing taxes for.. as in use version 2018 to submit income earned in 2018?

You use the year that matches which ever tax year you are doing. So if you need to do a tax return for 2018, choose the 2018 product. If you need to do a return for 2017, choose a 2017 product. 2019 doesn’t exist yet.
