CCP/QPP contributions error workaround

In rare cases, a user may see the following error after the May 27, 2025 update of TurboTax desktop:
“CPP/QPP contributions or pensionable earnings have been entered incorrectly. Check the amounts entered on your T4; particularly boxes 10, 14, 16, 16A, 17, 17A, 26, and 28. If the information entered matches your slips, please contact TurboTax at https://support.turbotax.intuit.ca/contact/”
If you encounter this error, you can use the following solution to correct the tax return and clear the error:
Open your T4 slip.
Delete the amount from Box 26.
Save and close the T4 slip.
Review your T4 slip to make sure the error is no longer appearing.
Reopen your T4 slip .
Reenter the amount shown in Box 26.
Save and close the T4 slip.
