How do I get a refund for a TurboTax product?

We offer refunds on TurboTax products within 60 days of the purchase date.

Follow the instructions below to claim your refund.

To request a refund for a TurboTax CD purchased from a retailer, email us at CanadaReturns@intuit.com.

In your email, explain that you would like a refund for your TurboTax CD and include the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your mailing address
  • A scanned copy of the retail receipt
  • The reason for the return (please be specific as your comments help us improve our products and services so we can better serve you)

Once you have emailed us your request for a refund, please uninstall TurboTax. You don’t need to send the product back to us.

Note: It can take up to 6 weeks for your refund cheque to arrive in the mail.

To request a refund for a TurboTax download purchased from the TurboTax.ca website, email us at CanadaReturns@intuit.com.

In your email, explain that you would like a refund for your TurboTax download and include the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your order number, which is available on your purchase receipt
  • The reason for the return (please be specific as your comments help us improve our products and services so we can better serve you)

Once you have emailed us your request for a refund, please Uninstall TurboTax.

Note: You will receive your refund cheque within 4 to 6 weeks. We’ll send you an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

When you choose to submit your return through NETFILE or to print your return, TurboTax asks you to submit a non-refundable payment.
