California Gets More Time to File & Pay: Extended to November 16th

If you’re in one of California’s affected counties, you now have until November 16, 2023 to file and pay your 2022 taxes. Both the IRS and the State of California have extended this deadline.  It’s automatic and no further extension request is required on your part. According to the IRS, 55 of California's 58 counties (all except Lassen, Modoc and Shasta counties) qualify. 

The original decision to extend (previously to October 16, 2023) was due to last winter’s natural disasters in the state. This additional month will provide much needed relief to those still recovering from those events.
