Effective July 2016, the new Canada Child Benefit (CCB) replaced the Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB), the National Child Benefit Supplement (NCBS), and the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB).
CCB is different from UCCB as it is tax-free and income-based, here is how they are similar.
The UCCB is a new benefit paid monthly to help eligible families provide child care for their children under six years of age. The UCCB will provide families a $100 monthly payment (up to $1,200 annually) for each child under six years of age. It will be paid separately from the Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB).
