Dependent Disiability amount transfer to other spouse

"Note: We will automatically claim the disability amount transferred from your dependent on the spouse with the highest income (after deductions). If that person is not the current designated transfer recipient, you will need to update your records with the CRA. For more info visit the CRA site here."

The process of getting a certified T2201 took us 6 months. We are not going to re-fill out the T2201 and start over again. The name that is approved on our daughters form is my wife's. I made more than her last year and cannot select to have the amount transferred to her name. Why can't it be as easy as selecting which person gets the transfer, is there any way to have the amount transferred to my wife's name?
