If you get NETFILE error code 16, it means the CRA’s records indicate they've already received your 2025 tax return. The error message should display your confirmation number.
If you haven't previously filed, contact the CRA at:

- Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut: 1-866-426-1527
- Outside Canada/U.S. call collect: 1-613-940-8495
- Or go to If you can’t get through to the CRA by phone.
