Getting started

If you travel to a convention, meeting, or other business-related events, you can deduct all of your travel expenses, including public transportation fees, hotel costs, and conference fees.

Please visit this TurboTax link for further information: Tax Deductions for the Self-Employed

You can deduct your travel expenses in the Self-Employment section of TurboTax Online. To get there, select Find (the magnifying glass icon). Type “self” in the search bar. Select Self-Employment from the list, then click “Go”. You can enter your expenses when you get to the expense part of this section.
