I have renounced CEE's but I don't need to use them all this year can I carry a portion forward for future years

Yes, CEEs are 100% deductible in the year in which they occur. Taxpayers can carry unused balances forward indefinitely or transfer them to flow-through-share investors. For more information, Please See CRA website.
