I have a question about the term T4 vs T4A if I have 2 T4s from the same employer, for the same year, is one considered a T4A?

Getting started

Both T4 slips received from an employer are considered T4 slips. The T4A slip is a different slip.
T4 is a document that’s officially known as a Statement of Remuneration Paid. It spells out how much income you’ve made from any given employer, as well as tax deductions. Moreover, it reflects the contributions you make to the Canada Pension Plan and employment insurance.
while a T4A is more of a catch-all slip that includes amounts or income categories that don’t appear on other slips. Put simply, it records income that doesn’t show up on a traditional employer-employee paycheque.
Thank you for choosing Turbo Tax.
