Has anyone been able to enter 2024 as the year of payment?

I still get a "Enter a valid number between 0 and 2023...

My understanding is that most of these lump sums were paid in 2024...

Leaving it at 2023 makes all the "Previous Years' amounts wrong... doesn't it?

What a mess....

If it is being paid out as a result of the repeal of Bill 124, it should be divided up in your letter or form from employer, even though it was paid this year, it will include an amount for this year, which is deducted in the last top box.

Getting started

Some people are saying the form is now available on the desktop version.  If I search through Forms, I can find the T1198.  However, that form isn't part of the Easysteps version.  And I can't find anything about it in the Help section.

Wondering if I have to delete my existing return and just start over?

Getting started

I used the online version, and was prompting under income,  asked to check if there was other  income, and I checked T1198, which added/opened the form for me. If using online, go to TaxHome tab, and then income, edit, and redo this prompt. I don't imagine you have to restart.

For those of you lucky enough to get this completed.. 😁

does a "Save and Close button magically appear?

I am getting the same error in the desktop version in forms mode... The year of the Bill 124 payment is 2024.  Anyone find a solution for this? I currently left if blank. I am tempted to just put 24...

Getting started

For anyone struggling to get past the error codes in the T1198 screen, just round your entries to the nearest dollar in all of the year to year break down and adjust your total poxes at the top of screen. I over stated mine for $.30….so it was minimal. That is what allowed me to advance.

i was able to submit mine and my wife’s returns last night in NetFile. We both submitted T1198 forms. Good luck!

I am having the same issue, has there been a response as to how to be able to submit?  I have also done the math numerous times and can not get it to work.
