How do I enable/add all types of expenses for self-employment reporting? They are now hidden behind highly unintuitive and tedious button clicks, each!

In previous years, all types of self-employment expenses were available for direct entry. Now I have to click multiple times to search for them, then enable them. The search function doesn't work either. This is by far the most absurd feature/bug introduction imaginable. "Let's make self-employment entries even harder than before." Not an easy feat, but you did it.

Getting started

From the 2024 Tax Return hub, click to expand the Self Employment section and click on "self-employment". Once you have completed setting-up your self-employment business, TurboTax will guide you to a page where you can "claim your expenses". From this page, you can download a expenses checklist or click continue to start entering your 2024 self-employment expenses. TurboTax will suggest common expenses for your personalized employment situation; however, you can choose from a comprehensive list of expenses by clicking on "more expenses" at the bottom of the page.
