If the car allowance is included in your taxable income, then yes.  If not, then you will not be able to claim your vehicle expenses.  As to whether the allowance is included with your taxable income, you will need to confirm with your employer.  Or section 5 of the T2200 will indicate if any of the allowance is included on the T4 slip (therefore included in your taxable income).  If the amount is zero, then you are not able to claim your vehicle expenses.
