Why can't I claim the climate action incentive but my wife can?
Hi! I am trying to claim the climate action incentive for myself, however Turbotax FORCES the incentive to be claimed by my wife...why? CRA says either one of us can claim the amount.
When I cancel the claim on my wife's return and put the X on my schedule 14, it let's me do that, but it will not allow any amount to be imputed. WHY IS TURBOTAX DO THIS? HELP!!! Thanks

Either spouse, but only one can make the claim for the couple or the family.
However, in my discussions with TurboTax, I am thinking that there is a flaw in their software. The agent that I discussed this with was not knowledgeable enough with the tax theory or the software to help me. As a loyal client of TurboTax (4 years) I consider myself a partner and wish to work together to solve this issue.
