Error code 84 line 63047 showing negative schedule form ON 479 calculating error

Need TurboTax to fix this simple error…in schedule form ON 479-A Line 63047 it says if negative put 0

turbo tax put a negative number which is stopping me from Netfiling…HOW DO I GET TURBOTAX TO FIX

I can’t access the forms used to calculate this child care tax relief credit or I could easily fix the problem. I’ve tried calling and even when I explain they still want to spend 3 hrs troubleshooting… I’m 100% sure I won’t be the only one… they had no idea I had to find the line with the error myself by downloading the return and scouring til I found line 63407! I don’t want to use another tax product I’ve used TurboTax for 30 yrs using online self employment product

Have you tried deleting the child care information and then re-adding it?

Yes I tried everything but the negative amount on this line, represents my spouse’s net income… If you read it… it says add lines 1 to 3 if it’s a negative put 0 … the program is not putting a zero it’s leaving a negative number and I shouldn’t have to go in and change my actual amounts to make it work the program needs to be fixed


I don’t have access to the forms used to calculate the credit…More importantly… I can’t be only one getting this error code … and I have literally come up with the answer for you… please excuse my frustration but I have been dealing with this on the phone with TurboTax multiple days and  everyone just keeps trying to troubleshoot and have me change numbers in my tax return… problem is NOT MY RETURN it’s the program making the calculations

@TurboTaxSusan @Help I have the same issue! 😔.  How is the fix coming along?  Turbotax letting us down this year.  No updates from customer support.

I tried explaining relatively simple error.. 2 phone calls ..for the very reason that i couldn’t possibly be the only one..(it’s litterally telling you the line of the error) anyway NO FIX…what I did to proceed -my husband had the negative income and we file together..I sent off his taxes to CRA and then since it’s only for a calculation on a schedule on mine that didn’t change the outcome on my taxes I went in and changed his actual income to zero instead of a negative and was able to then netfile my taxes..I hope my explanation isn’t too confusing 🫤
