I used Turbotax Premier Assist last year but now want to switch back to Turbotax Premier desktop. How do I move the new 2023 online returns to my desktop version?

I understand based on Turbotax posts that if I start the 2023 returns online that I can continue those 2023 returns from my desktop version?  The desktop version is supposed have a "Continue from Online" option?

The information that you were looking at is for the US. You can’t transfer information from TurboTax Online into TurboTax CD/Download in the Canadian version of TurboTax.

Thanks for the reply.  That is unfortunate that the import feature is only available in the US market.  A deficiency in the Canadian version.

I bought the online version of Turbotax (the Premier Version) this year (2023). I have been using the desktop version for years and was pleased with the functionality. I was very disappointed with the onlin functionality, the search capacity, and the difficulty to look up forms. I am now two filings in, and cannot switch back to desktop because INTUIT failed to consider us Canadians when implementing the online to desktop migration. Shame on you Intuit for poor software design...Now let me get back to slugging through the online interface! :(

I have been a loyal TurboTax client for 20 years - when I first started using the software I loved it but these last 4 years have been a nightmare - I am so frustrated and upset on how useless their "HELP" is....  How do we get our money back if we bought the wrong software package - the packaging is terrible - in previous years I bought my online tax package in a box at Costco - this year they only had one option which I purchased for $80 - if I have no access to my online tax returns how do I get my money back for the desktop version which is now installed and useless to me because I don't have my 2023 roll forward of information, which is quite frankly why I did not switch software providers prior to today, so that I can switch to the online software? I am not paying to file with Turbo Tax online if I do not get my money back for the desktop package - I will switch to a different software for my next 25 years. I will no longer be a loyal client to a company that provides no assistance to its end users.  I too found this transfer of information from online to desk top on your forum - no where did it say that information was applicable to the USA only so I thought I was ok to load the desktop software.  Because of TurboTaxe's failure to communicate with its end users that tidbit of information - it is 100% Turbo Taxes fault that I,  and the original poster above, should be entitled to a full refund for our downloaded software.

@relaxafterafunday  If you bought TurboTax from a 3rd party retailer and need to request a refund, you can do so on this page: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/community/after-you-file-questions/help/how-do-i-get-a-refund-for-a-turbotax-product/00/873559

FYI: Anything with a .com like https://ttlc.intuit.com or https://turbotax.intuit.com/ or https://turbotax.com that doesn't have a .ca in it somewhere is a US site.
