Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
You have a space in your path to temp directory which causes an issue with the installation providing a dialog like what you see. This has been resolved in the latest release.
Please download and install the latest installer from https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/questions/1364511-where-can-i-download-the-cd-download-edition-of-turbotax.
Hope this helps resolve the issue!
Thanks for the suggestion, but, after downloading and run, same problem.
Can you try suggestions mentioned in https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/questions/1810868-turbo-tax-2018-will-not-install-in-windows-10?jump_to=comment_3773839?
The engineering team looked into the issue and found that the issue which was fixed in early feb came back again in the mid feb release. The engineering team is working on it to provide a solution as a download by end of this week.
What you can try alternatively try is: Download a early Feb installer for Turbotax 2018 which has this fix included. You can download it from https://intuitglobal.intuit.com/downloads/CanadaTax/2018/dls/TurboTax2018_Build3007.exe
and see if it helps in installing the product.
The application ones booted will automatically find a update and it will patch you to the latest updates.
Can someone please try and let me know if this fixes the issue?
Sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope it helps in solving the problem.
I succeeded by adding a new user with no ' ' spaces in the user name. Though I was successful it's absurd the programming is so poor that I had to do this for only this product. As I have used TurboTax for years I will have to assume the actual program will run error free to produce legitimate returns.
Hi,
Fix has been published and you can now try downloading the latest installer from from https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/questions/1364511-where-can-i-download-the-cd-download-edition-of-turbotax.
Please do let us know if you still face any issues.
Please try uninstalling & reinstalling the program. Please make sure to use the download from our website to install, as the CD version has some issues that were patched in later updates.

The program doesn't appear in the installed programs - this advice isn't helpful - another bogus thread on a increasingly widespread problem.

The technical support for the 2019 product is abysmal...I have been trying to get my 2019 software to install for a month...your support team said it was a MS Win10 issue that was to be resolved with the next update. See case #[social security number removed]. There has been at least two update and it still will not install. I paid 107 dollars for this and the tax season is grinding on. When are you people going to get serious and fix that problem. Yes, I could sign up for the online version, but why should I? And to top it off, there is never anyone at the end of the phone line...I need to find another product, cuz clearly you guys don't care.
