Yes it is possible to transfer last year’s tax information to TurboTax Online

Here’s how to make the transfer:

Visit the TurboTax website.
Select Sign In from the menu.
Select Continue My 2020 Tax Return.
If you have a TurboTax Online account, sign in. If you don’t have an account, create one and then sign in.
On the Great to see you again! screen, select Start a new return.
Select Create a different return.
Choose which edition of TurboTax Online you want to use. We recommend Standard to start. You can always upgrade later.
On the How did you do your taxes last year screen, select TurboTax CD/Download.
Select Continue.
On the Let’s start with last year’s return screen, select Choose File.
Find and select your TurboTax CD/Download file from the prior year.
Enter your SIN number.
Select Continue.
If you need to make changes, check the appropriate box(es).
When you’re done, check the last box to continue.
Select the return(s) you want to transfer, or select I want to transfer all information and prepare our returns together to choose multiple returns.
Select Continue twice.

You’re now ready to prepare your tax return with the current year information.
