The 2023 downloaded version does not let me enter the license key. What do I need to do to fix this issue?

First, please make sure that you have purchased the right product. The codes for TurboTax Online will not work with TurboTax CD/Download & vice-versa.

 

Second, if you bought TurboTax at a retailer (Costco, Walmart, Staples, etc…), please make sure that you are using the code that came in the package. It may be on a slip of paper or on a scratch-off card. It is not on the outside of the box or on your receipt.

I did contact the phone support team and after 2 hrs of trying this and trying that, I still have the issue.  The problem was escalated to another team.  Stay tuned for further updates.

Thank you for the update. Have you uninstalled your program and cleared your cache? You may also try turning off your firewalls and pop up blocker.

I finally resolved my issue (not being able to enter license key)…

After I pressed the 2 arrows key  (above cap lock key), it did let me enter characters in the Turbo Tax license box.

What exactly is happening? Is it asking you for the licence but not letting you put it in?

Yes - I see the license key box but does not let me enter anything in it.

 

I finally got it to work by pressing the 2 arrow key (above cap lock key).
